NACCAS CREATES NEW PLAN FOR
NEW COSMETOLOGY LICENSE DATABASE
$200,000 FUNDING IS
NOW A NECESSITY . . . FOR SAVING AN INDUSTRY IN CRISIS!
ARLINGTON, VA - USA Mark Gross, CEO of The National Accrediting
Commission of Cosmetology Arts & Sciences has developed preliminary plans for
launching an exciting new National Licensing Database. This will soon ensure
that cosmetologists can readily move across state lines for employment while
reducing potential license forgeries and the proliferation of fake paperwork
in the professional salon industry.
Once complete, Cosmetology Licensing information will be available
to all states. This important future program now needs to solicit sufficient
funding resources, pledges and supports from all levels of the professional
cosmetology industry to make this National Licensing Database a reality over
the next few years. The cosmetology industry is in an absolute employment emergency
crisis situation with dramatically shrinking schools, less new students, many
less professionally licensed cosmetologists, nailcare technicians and aestheticians.
Our shrinking cosmetology employment base has effected manufacturers,
distributors, associations, salon chains, independent salons and every level
of our industry. The current situation is only predicted to get worse over the
coming years, unless we take some drastic actions. Now is the time to help support
our industry.
NEED FOR FINANCIAL SUPPORT NOW! NACCAS has created
an accessible financial plan to have those who need the help the most, to help
make the launch of this plan a reality. To launch this new National License Database
Plan, NACCAS has offered to create, launch and facilitate this program, yet needs
$200,000. In seed money to get it started. We are looking for at least eight sponsors
at $25,000. Each to step forward to support the future of our industry. Those
who will benefit the most at first from a program like this are salon chains and
independent salons, followed by manufacturers and distributors.
Right now, cosmetologists who move across state lines or who come
from another country have to wait for many months while paperwork is processed.
In the mean time, many must leave the cosmetology profession to earn a living
wage to support their families until the paperwork is approved and transferred.
Often, these cosmetologists get involved in other career opportunities, never
to return to the salons. This has created a domino effect that hurts us all.
Further, we have experienced the sad abuse of counterfeit licenses effecting
the entire industry, especially nail salons. The challenge is to make it much
easier for cosmetologists to move quickly across state lines for employment
within professional salons, while also making it easier to attract foreign professionals
to work in our country.
Eight states have already agreed to work with NACCAS on this project;
Kansas, Maine, Montana, Nevada, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota and Wyoming.
NACCAS is now actively soliciting your help! We need eight supportive
companies to step forward, knowing the long-term effect will help them and the
entire industry. Any additional donations, pledges and help will be greatly
appreciated! Once the first eight to ten states are up and running, it is projected
that the National Licensing Database will be able to self-fund itself in the
future for implementation in all other states.
The first eight salon industry salon chains and companies to step
forward will be recognized in all future media relations programs and marketing
materials with their name and logo, to recognize their support.
