The letter has arrived! The recognition the Secretary of Education gives to NACCAS now formally encompasses the accreditation of schools and departments of massage. In a letter dated May 6, 2003, Secretary of Education Rod Paige states:

"… I shall now list the National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts and Sciences' scope of recognition as the accreditation of post secondary schools and departments of cosmetology arts and sciences and massage therapy."
